MRO Journey – Join the Circle of Giving

In 2026, Moray Reach Out (MRO) is proud to celebrate 25 years as a Scottish charity, supporting adults with disabilities to gain a real sense of purpose, pride, and belonging within their community.

To mark this milestone, we have launched our year-long campaign, The MRO Journey: Join the Circle of Giving, with a goal of raising £25,000 to help secure and grow our services for the future.

Alongside this, we have developed an exciting programme of events and activities, offering opportunities for individuals, communities, and businesses to get involved.

Crafted with Care, Made with Purpose

At Moray Reach Out, every product we create is made with care, passion, and a true sense of purpose. From the initial idea to the final touches, our dedicated trainees, staff, and volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.

Our talented woodwork team give new life to reclaimed materials; we not only create beautiful handcrafted items but also promote sustainability.

We are also proud of our Art Yarn, crafted from start to finish using traditional techniques. From shearing the wool to teasing and spinning, every step is carried out with skill and dedication. Using fleece from local farmers, we create high-quality yarn that is truly special.

Every purchase supports our mission, empowering adults with learning disabilities through meaningful work and skill development. Thank you for being part of our journey.

A special visitor dropped by MRO today! 😊

We were delighted to welcome Andrew Simpson, Lord Lieutenant of Banffshire, for an informal visit. Andrew officially opened our MRO building back in October 2019 and popped in today to see how things have been progressing since then.

It was a pleasure to catch up, share updates on our projects, and showcase the fantastic work being carried out by our trainees, staff, and volunteers. Thank you for taking the time to visit us! 😄

Today we're celebrating a wonderful milestone at Moray Reach Out! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Karen Vernon, who is marking an incredible 10 years of service with MRO as our Finance and HR Administrator.

Over the past decade, she has been a valued member of our team, playing an important role in supporting the organisation and helping us continue our mission of helping adults with disabilities gain a real sense of purpose and pride.

To recognise this special achievement, Shona, our General Manager, presented Karen with a beautiful orchid, while the Board of Directors gifted her a lovely bouquet of flowers as a thank you for her dedication, commitment and hard work over the years. 💐

Her contribution to Moray Reach Out has been greatly appreciated, and we are grateful for everything she has done to support the organisation during the last 10 years.

Please join us in congratulating Karen on this fantastic milestone and thanking her for a decade of service! 💜
